TEEN TRAVEL & VOLUNTEER ABROAD PROGRAMS

SUMMER & SPRING BREAK PROGRAMS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

It is Global Leadership Adventures’ founding belief that young people – given the opportunity and privilege to embrace different cultures, confront timely challenges and develop their own unique leadership styles – will make this world the kind of place we can all share and explore together.

We believe leaders are made, not born, and that leadership is a life skill than can and should be developed.

From role play to style exploration to getting students out of their comfort zone and into leadership roles within the group, GLA intentionally weaves this approach into the daily experience on our travel programs and internships. Our holistic approach to leadership and learning creates a lifelong impact for students.

Our program model is inspired by the Peace Corps and updated for short-term experiences for high school students (with a program option also available for middle school students).

Most of our travel and volunteer programs operate during the summer, though spring break session dates are also available.

97% OF GLA ALUMNI AGREE:
“WHEN I LOOK BACK ON MY GLA EXPERIENCE, I CONSIDER IT TO HAVE BEEN LIFE-CHANGING.”

STUDENT TESTIMONIAL:
"THE WORLD IS AN IMMENSE PLACE. AND WORKING TOWARD SOLVING ITS PROGRAMS IS LIKE TRYING TO MOVE A MOUNTAIN ONE PEBBLE AT A TIME. ON THIS TRIP, I REALIZED THAT EACH PEBBLE MAY SEEM INSIGNIFICANT TO YOU OR ME, BUT CAN LOOK LIKE A BOULDER TO OTHERS."
