Are you thinking about enrolling in a GLA program this summer, but feel you need more information to make a decision?

Perhaps you’re looking at GLA for the teen in your family, but need to know more about certain aspects of the program and travel experience to feel comfortable in your decision?

Here’s the best piece of advice I can ever give you: Call us!

We are experts in the field of teen travel and volunteering, and we love nothing more than talking to prospective families and students!

In fact, our Admissions Team is staffed with incredible travel experts! As a group, we have traveled extensively, both to GLA program sites year after year as well as around the world on our own.

Many of us have worked as mentors on GLA programs or visited a program from start-to-finish, and we know the answers to questions big and small.

We’re also familiar with the pre-travel process, as you can imagine. We can provide insights into everything from obtaining your passport, to finding the perfect arrival window for your student’s flights, to knowing exactly what to pack before you go.

1. Parents: How do I figure out which country is the best fit for my child?

We will take the time to discuss your teen’s passions and goals to help determine and give your family program options that will peak their interest.

2. Student Travelers: It will be my first time traveling alone or out of the country and I’m nervous.

That’s totally normal! Nervousness can be the first step toward excitement.

Our advisors will talk you through the process of getting ready to travel abroad and will be there for you every step of the way as you get ready to embark on your incredible journey.

Remember, we have been successfully running programs for 15+ years, and it is completely normal to feel nervous about taking those first steps out into the wider world on your own, but we will be here walking right alongside you.

3. Families: I have more in-depth questions about the overnight accommodations and dietary restrictions.

Great! We can discuss these questions with you at length and advise you through ALL of them, including going over programs best suited to certain dietary restrictions.

We also know everything about our Home Bases, which will be your home-away-from-home during the course of your GLA program.
