Leap for GLA Programs that Benefit Children
Once every four years, we gain an extra day on the calendar. And with Leap Day coming up on Saturday, we have been thinking a lot about time, and how wonderful and precious it can be to have just a little more of it.
If you could spare a day, a week, two weeks or more, would you do something meaningful with your extra time?
We hope the answer is yes! Because when it comes to community service projects that benefit children, we could really use your time and energy on the ground this spring or summer.
To thank you for offering your time off from school to help out on one of our service-learning programs that support children, we are offering you some tuition help in return.
The programs below are eligible for a Service Grant of up to $300 when you enroll with one of the codes below by February 29, 2020:
- $150 grant for Dominican Republic: Caribbean Service Adventure when you enroll with the code COMMUNITY
- $300 grant for for all other programs listed when you enroll with the code EDUCATION
To redeem your Service Grant, enter one of the codes above (depending on the program length) in the ‘scholarship code’ section of your application.
Dominican Republic: Caribbean Service Adventure
Program Highlights:
- Build safer homes and community centers for underserved families.

Spain: Spanish in the Land of Don Quixote™
Program Highlights:
- Improve your Spanish through language immersion
- Walk the historic streets of Toledo, known as “the city of three cultures”
- Visit some of Madrid’s oldest restaurants on a tapas tour
- Go kayaking on the Alto Tajo River
- Spend two days helping out the local community with a service project
- Optional Homestay Extension: Stay an extra week and live with a Spanish family to perfect your Spanish
