Advice to Our Younger Selves

Looking for a 2018 mantra? Inspire your New Year with some advice GLA staff would give in retrospect to their teenage selves.

“Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” - Maya Angelou

We all remember what it was like, being a teen or "young adult." Beginning to take responsibility for our lives, having the world opening up to us, having to suddenly start making decisions about our futures. Exciting, yet terrifying and confusing all at the same time. Looking back, there are things we all wish we'd known.

Here are some of the life lessons GLA staff members have learned that we'd go back and tell our 15-year-old selves.
