Social Entrepreneurs Can Change the World

I really liked this video that captures the spirit of entrepreneurship.  In fact, this captures the very reason I believe in Global Leadership Adventures — the message of entrepreneurship empowers young people to know they can change the world.  Whether its in business, or more related to the mission of GLA, as social entrepreneurs creating innovative solutions to global issues – never forget that your vision is acheivable.

In fact, on all of our programs we try to expose students to cutting edge social entrepreneurs.  Whether its an organization in Brazil that teaches street kids hip hop dance or a rural women’s microfinance group in India – our students see first hand grassroots leaders innovating to address social issues.

Watch this great video for a dose of inspiration:

Alumni: The F Bomb…!

I always love it when GLA alumni go on to do things that keep them involved in the issues they’re most passionate about.  So, this is a shout out to Julie Z for her new site The F Bomb.

According to the “About” page:

The FBomb.org is a blog/community created for teenage girls who care about their rights as women and want to be heard. Young feminists who are just a little bit pissed off and very outspoken are more than welcome here.

I was in India with Julie last summer and it was a great to get to know her. She is an extraordinary person and this blog is really well done and engaging.    She continues to impress me by snagging an exclusive interview with the one and only Gloria Steinam!

Great job,  Julie!
