Program Details: For Teachers
Besides simply recommending Global Leadership Adventures to students, teachers can also bring a group of students on a custom program. Read more about developing a custom program.
Teachers who organize a custom student group accompany their students from their home country to their specific GLA program site and in return, receive free airfare, lodging and food, if they bring the minimum number of students.
Chaperones are energetic, enthusiastic teachers who receive gratification from accompanying students through a life-changing international experience. Although not required, chaperones are encouraged to participate alongside students in community service activities, partake in excursions and contribute to positive group dynamics during structured free-time activities. This enables you to connect with the students and personally benefit from the rich GLA Experience.
Forming Minds
As a chaperone, you inspire high school students around the world seeking to explore the world and hoping to learn more about themselves. Since this is an important stage of their personal development, your presence will help shape students’ minds and instill values of leadership.
Share your experience
This is an amazing opportunity for you to engage students in experiential learning. You will not only challenge yourself and enhance your teaching versatility, but also apply discussion-based teaching methodology, which you can take back to your classrooms at home.
Professional Development
Through GLA, you will meet remarkable people, including globally minded staff from other countries, inspiring guest speakers and dynamic local leaders. Where else in the world will you get the opportunity to network with such a world-wide breadth of incredible individuals and experience a country’s distinct characteristics in a meaningful way?
