Get Started: Tuition
The tuition for every Global Leadership Adventures program includes the entire in-country experience. From the moment the student arrives into the country and is met by our staff, all program costs are covered by the tuition.
Items not covered by tuition, that you will need to pay for
- International airfare to and from the destination country
- Entry visa to the country (if required)
- Immunizations (if required)
- Multi-Country Flight Connections (if applicable)
- Airport taxes (if required)
- Souvenirs
Items included in the program
- Travel medical and evacuation insurance
- Airport pickup by GLA staff
- Phone call home upon arrival
- All meals and purified water
- Lodging in GLA Home-Base
- All ground transportation
- All excursions and activities
- Experienced Program Directors
- Supplies for service project
- Pre-departure logistical support
- Two 24-hour emergency hotlines
- Emergency cash-advance service
Typical student expenses during the program
- Snacks and soft drinks
- Souvenirs
- Laundry (when available)
- Public internet cafes
Tuition Payment
The remainder of the tuition is due 30 days after acceptance into the program. Certain portions of the program fee are refundable depending on the date of the refund request. The payment schedule and refund policy is as follows.
If a student chooses to withdraw for any reason prior to the departure, GLA must be notified in writing. The refund will be calculated according to the date in which GLA receives this notification.
- Five months prior, all but $30 Application Fee is refundable
- Four months prior, 75% of total program tuition is refundable
- Three months prior, 50% of total program tuition is refundable
- Two months prior, 25% of total program tuition is refundable; and
- Less than 2 months prior, the program tuition is not refundable
NOTE: Families who have purchased trip cancellation insurance will be refunded by the insurance company until the departure date of the program.
