Ghana is a country rich in culture and history and GLA students will learn first hand these elements that make Ghana a hidden treasure.

  • Meet leaders at the grassroots and national level who are creating social change in Ghana
  • Dance to the rhythms of West African percussion.
  • Start speaking some basic phrases in the local tribal languages
  • Revisit history at the slave forts along the Cape Coast
  • Learn about the tribal system of traditional chiefs that runs in parallel to the freely elected governmental body
  • Create arts and crafts during a workshop and also meeting local artisans that weave traditional kente cloth.
