Overview

Watch a brief video about our program in Ghana

Explore the heart and soul of Africa!  Come to Ghana and experience the vibrant traditional culture - learn percussion, weaving, dance, and tribal languages.

Although Ghana was originally one of the hubs of the African slave trade, today it has become a peaceful, democratic state.  A well-run country by regional standards, Ghana is often viewed as a model for governance in Africa. Ghana was the first African country to gain independence, and while the official language of Ghana is English, more than 70 different languages are spoken.

Come join us in Tema, on the southern shores of Ghana, for a remarkable journey into one of Africa's most peaceful and democratic countries.  Ghana just celebrated 50 years of independence and there is no better time to visit this country that is rich in culture and beauty.

You will volunteer with grassroots organizations in the surrounding community.  During the program we will learn about the challenges facing Ghana with regards to health care, education, environment and poverty as well as the successes they have had tackling these issues.

Immerse yourself in the rich culture of this fascinating country, join us for the experience of a lifetime in Ghana!
