At GLA in Cape Town, you’ll embark on exciting excursions and momentous cultural explorations throughout key landmarks, historical sites and innovative organizations around the Western Cape. Excursions are integral to The GLA Experience - they enable you to soak in the natural beauty of this region and learn about how local citizens of different races are learning to live together in post-Apartheid, South Africa.
Each year specific excursions vary, however, any of the following and numerous other options may be included in the coming year's programming:
- Riding bikes through a nature reserve to the Cape of Good Hope, the southwestern most point of the African continent.
- Hiking up Table Mountain, South Africa’s most famous natural landmark, which provides breathtaking views over the city and its beaches
- Seeing African penguin colonies at their beachside reserve in Boulder’s Beach
- Relaxing at the famous V&A Waterfront
