Students will stay in Fortaleza, the city known as a dynamic outpost of social and cultural change on Brazil’s northernmost coast. Fortaleza is the epicenter of traditional culture for Northeast Brazil, with lively Maracatu (name of indigenous people), music and dancing, handcraft markets, and Candomble temples (traditional Afro-Brazilian places of worship).
The GLA campus is housed on the campus of Colegio 7 de Setembro, which located on the outskirts of Fortaleza. Students and staff live on campus in shared rooms. Students live in gender-segregated blocks of rooms. The conference center has a swimming pool, classrooms, an open air cafeteria and a soccer field.
