i have been searching the web for hours searching for a youth trip overseas (actually this is the only one i found) that i might POSSIBLY convince my parents to let me do for the next summer. i know this page will help me plead my case. you see, i'm 14. i am starting highschool next month, and i will be 15 (almost 16) if i went next year. i went to catholic heart work camp for a week this summer. my mom worried about me going from philadelphia, pa to flint, mi. i have never actually been out of the country before (honestly? i havent even been out of this time zone within the US). i think i can honestly answer that first point with a firm "yes." i have been looking specifically into the dominican republic program. ii know im mature enough, but can i convince my parents that a 15 year old girl can leave the country alone and stay in one of these areas? does anyone have any advice or help they can give me???
